The Wooly Bugger is perhaps the most versatile fly in fly fishing. The Bead Head Olive can imitate or at least suggest any number of trout foods. Every angler should dedicate one or multiple fly boxes to the several colors and variations of this fly. The unweighted version is especially useful in stillwater situations where sinking lines are used and the bead head varieties can be used where a weighted fly is called for.

King Kong, Salmon Fly, Stonefly Adult

King Kong, Salmon Fly, Stonefly Adult

Your price: $2.00

It's big, black, and pretty mean looking but don't confuse the King Kong Salmon Fly Stonefly Adult with it's namesake ape. It's a Salmon fly imitator of the first order. This big buoyant Salmonfly bug is hard to miss on the water, floats like a cork with durable closed cell foam, and is a great fly to use in a dry-dropper rig with heavy tungsten bead nymphs.

Pulsating Caddis, Olive

Pulsating Caddis, Olive

Your price: $1.50

This Pulsating Caddis, Olive pattern was developed by Jim Pettis, a guide on the lower Sacramento River, in 1993. The fly can be used in both streams and stillwaters. The term 'pulsating' comes from the combination of the beads and the dubbing material which give off a pulsating effect when moving within the water column. The fly can be used throughout the season from April through October. This is an extremely effective pattern wherever there are caddisflies.
